Twenty-two year old defensive midfielder who is regarded as one for the future by officials in Turkey. Mehmet has enjoyed a breakthrough season with recently crowned league champions Galatasaray and in the run up to the European Championship has been handed a new five-year contract. The energetic midfielder is a newcomer on the international stage but is nicknamed 'Spider' due to his ability to cut out passes and win loose balls in the centre of midfield with his long legs.
