Thirty-two-year-old Rami Shaaban is expected to act as the regular back-up to Andreas Isaksson at this summer's finals, having started four games early on in the qualifying campaign. The former Djurgardens keeper endured an unsuccessful spell in England, but rebuilt his career in Norway with Fredrikstad, before moving back to Sweden to link up with Hammarby earlier this year. Shaaban broke into the national team set-up just before the World Cup finals two years ago and played in the goalless draw with Trinidad &Tobago in Germany in the summer of 2006.
