One of Sweden's most consistent performers for a number of years, Anders Svensson operates as one of his side's more defensive-minded midfielders to allow others around him to push forward. The 31-year-old made his international debut in 1999 and is closing in on a century of caps for Sweden, having contributed his fair share of goals from the middle of the park. Svensson, already a veteran of two World Cup finals and Euro 2004, is currently in his second spell with Elfsborg, having also spent several seasons in England with Southampton.
