Striker Fernando Torres has made an explosive start to his career in England with Liverpool and his club form is likely to earn him a starting spot for Spain this summer. The 24-year-old left Atletico Madrid last summer to link up with the Reds and has netted around 30 goals in all competitions. Torres made his international debut as far back as September 2003 and has already earned nearly 50 caps for his country, finding the net once every three games for Spain. He scored three times at the World Cup finals in Germany two years ago, but was unable to help Spain get any further than the second round, where they lost 3-1 to France.
