Veteran goalkeeper Andres Palop will act as back-up to Iker Casillas and Jose Reina this summer, having enjoyed another consistent season with Sevilla. The 34-year-old has helped his current club to five trophies since his arrival from Valencia in the summer of 2005, having chosen to move after seeing his first-team opportunities limited by the presence of Santiago Canizares. Palop has yet to make his full international debut for Spain and is unlikely to see any action in Austria and Switzerland unless Luis Aragones' squad is struck by injuries.
