Midfielder Ruben De la Red is a product of the Real Madrid academy, but he has risen to prominence during an impressive season with Getafe. The young playmaker is expected to return to the Bernabeu next term and will no doubt be hoping to enhance his reputation further this summer. Blessed with a fine all-round game, De la Red helped his club reach the quarter-finals of the UEFA Cup this season, while Getafe also lost in the final of the Copa del Rey to Valencia. A regular at Under-21 level, De la Red has been earmarked as one of Spain's potential stars of the future.
