Left-back Fernando Navarro only won his first international call-up in February, having impressed for Real Mallorca in the last couple of seasons. The 25-year-old started his club career with Barcelona, but a serious knee injury put paid to his chances of becoming a first-team regular at the Camp Nou. Following a loan spell at Albacete he moved to Mallorca in 2005 and sealed a permanent switch with an impressive first campaign for the Islanders. Is likely to be a back-up player this summer, although he has clearly impressed coach Luis Aragones in recent times.
