The 29-year-old shot-stopper helped Zenit St Petersburg win the 2008 UEFA Cup but he is unlikely to see much action in Austria and Switzerland. He has spent his entire career with the one club, making his debut in 1999 and becoming Zenit's first-choice shot-stopper two years later. Malafeev made two appearances at Euro 2004 as Sergei Ovchinnikov was suspended and featured in four qualifying games for this summer's tournament - against Andorra, Croatia, FYR Macedonia and England.
