Vasilli Berezutski scored his only goal so far for the national side during a Euro 2008 qualifying match against FYR Macedonia. He began his professional career, alongside his twin brother Aleksei, in 1999 at Torpedo-Zil and followed his brother to CSKA Moscow in 2002. The defender often plays at full-back or centre-back. He has plenty of Champions League experience and helped CSKA Moscow win the UEFA Cup in 2005.
