Adamov made his international debut earlier this year in a friendly against Romania. The striker was part of the Shakhtar Donetsk squad during the Ukrainian side's 2000-01 Champions League campaign but returned to Russia to play for FC Rostov between 2001 and 2004. Adamov spent one season with Terek Grozny before signing for FC Moscow in 2006 and has been a regular scorer for the side from the Russian capital.
