The 26-year-old defender is likely to be only a peripheral figure in Austria and Switzerland this summer after starting only three games during Russia's successful qualifying campaign for Euro 2008. Kolodin started his club career with FC Olimpia Volgograd Elista before joining FC Krylia Sovetov Samara for the 2004-05 campaign. He has spent the last three years with Dinamo Moscow and is the club's penalty taker.
