The young Sporting Lisbon goalkeeper will be Portugal's third-choice shot-stopper in Austria and Switzerland after breaking into his club's starting line-up in the second half of the season. The Marrazes-born 20-year-old helped Sporting reach the quarter-finals of the UEFA Cup and played in both legs of the defeat to Rangers after earlier featuring against Manchester United and Dynamo Kiev in his club's ill-fated Champions League campaign.
