The FC Porto stalwart has struggled to establish himself as a regular at international level but will be a useful squad member this summer. The 25-year-old made his debut in the 3-0 win against Kazakhstan in November 2006 and went on to make five appearances during the Euro 2008 qualifying campaign, although three were from the substitute's bench. The midfielder has spent the last four seasons with Porto having previously played for CD Aves and Boavista.
