Exciting young centre forward who is a recent addition to the international squad. Huntelaar was omitted from the 2006 World Cup squad in favour of furthering his education with a place in the under-21 European Championship. The now 24-year-old grasped the initiative as he scored four times as the Netherlands went on to win the tournament. A move to Ajax from Heerenveen followed and the tall and quick frontman has continued to score at an impressive rate in the Dutch Eredivisie after finishing as the league's 34-goal top-scorer in the recently completed season. The youngster has been compared to Netherlands great and now coach Marco van Basten and is expected to make a huge impact in Austria and Switzerland when replacing first-choice Ruud van Nistelrooy off the bench.
