Resurgent forward who has played his way back into the international picture during the second half of the season. Odonkor has barely troubled the Germany squad since the 2006 World Cup due to a combination of injury and loss of form following a big-money move to Spain with Real Betis. The 24-year-old winger was propelled into the limelight following a string of impact appearances off the bench as Jurgen Klinsmann's side reached the semi-finals of the tournament on home soil. He featured four times during qualifying for Euro 2008 and, after ending the Spanish season on a high with his first goal for Betis, will be looking to kick-start his career with a strong European Championship.
