The French captain has a wealth of experience having made more than 130 appearances for his country since making his international debut 14 years ago. The reliable 36-year-old moved to Juventus from Parma in a massive £22million deal seven years ago having started his career with AS Monaco. After Juventus' demotion to Serie B, Thuram signed for Barcelona in July 2006. He was part of the Les Bleus side that won the World Cup in 1998 and Euro 2000 but announced his retirement from international football after his side's exit from Euro 2004. He reversed the decision in August 2005 and helped France reach the 2006 World Cup final and played in all 12 Euro 2008 qualifiers.
