Striker Olic is likely to be deployed as a lone frontman following the loss of partner Eduardo da Silva to a badly broken leg. The 28-year-old has kick-started his career at Hamburg following a four-year stint in Russia with CSKA Moscow with his goal tally comfortably in double figures in his first full season back in the Bundesliga. The hard-working striker was in the Croatia squad at each of the last two World Cups and European Championships but is now regarded as first choice following the retirement of Dado Prso and Ivan Klasnic's injury problems.
