Another of Croatia's veteran backline, Simic has already played at three World Cup and European Championship finals and will again be a valuable member of Slaven Bilic's squad. Simic has almost 100 caps to his name, having made his debut for Croatia way back in March 1996 against South Korea. Can play in central defence or as a defensive midfielder but has found first-team opportunities limited since moving to Italy to play for first Internazionale and now AC Milan. The 32-year-old started his career with Dinamo Zagreb and helped them dominate domestic football in the late 1990s.
