Thirty-year-old defender or defensive midfielder who will provide back-up for the first team during the tournament. Vejic made his international debut in a friendly against Norway in 2007 and is often called into squads without troubling the starting eleven. He started his career in the Croatian capital with NK Zagreb and spent four seasons at Hajduk Split before moving to Russian side FC Tom Tomsk in 2005. Vejic also made a handful of appearances for the under-21 squad before his lengthy spell in the international wilderness.
