Ribery backs Domenech stay

France playmaker Franck Ribery has voiced his support for coach Raymond Domenech, whose job is under threat after a dismal showing from Les Bleus at Euro 2008.
Ribery ended the tournament on a stretcher after suffering a serious leg injury in the 2-0 defeat by Italy, a loss which condemned France to an early exit at the group stage of the competition.
However, the Bayern Munich forward still believes Domenech is the man to lead the team forward to the 2010 World Cup finals.
He told L'Equipe: "I can say that, personally, I've never had any worries about him.
"In my opinion Domenech shouldn't go, he should stay and keep working with the group. If there have been mistakes, then they were not only his. Frankly, I'd like him to stay."
France captain Patrick Vieira had earlier stated: "I'm rather in favour of stability. We must not throw everything out of the window.
"The responsibility of what happened belongs to the players."
