Van Basten: We are serious

Marco van Basten has rubbished claims that his Netherlands side could deliberately lose to Romania on Tuesday to eliminate Italy and France from Euro 2008.
The Dutch have already confirmed their progression to the knockout stages as Group C winners after 3-0 and 4-1 victories respectively over Italy and France.
Van Basten is expected to make wholesale changes for the final game against Romania, who will themselves qualify should they secure all three points in Berne.
However, the Netherlands coach has scotched suggestions that his side will not give their all.
"We want to play a good game and we want to take it very seriously," he said.
"We are going to confront the game with the same concentration and attention that we did for the last two games.
"We have a very professional group - 23 are internationals and they are all serious and good players."
