Korkmaz to join Frankfurt

Austria midfielder Umit Korkmaz has agreed to join Eintracht Frankfurt from Rapid Vienna.
The 22-year-old, who is of Turkish descent, has signed a four-year contract with the Bundesliga club despite being away with the Austria squad ahead of the start of Euro 2008.
Korkmaz has joined Eintracht for an undisclosed fee and becomes their third signing - after Markus Stenhofer and Alexander Kruk - of the summer.
"He has played a fantastic second half of the season and managed the leap into the national team," said coach Friedhelm Funkel.
"He will now take the next step in his career with us and has a lot ahead of him."
